Typography

Typography is key to our brand expression and speaks to Metafy's personality, our roots deep in the gaming community, and our desire to leave this space better than we found it.

Typefaces

Display

Clash Display is our display typeface, in both Semi Bold and Medium weights.

Clash has a strong character, with a wider base and much more contrast in its construction. The counters in the p’s and q’s create a visual affinity with the eyes of our symbol, whilst the subtle quirks and details create a sense of warmth, charm and joy.

Although Clash Display is available by default in our Figma organization, you can download it on fontshare for use outside of Figma.

Body

Suisse is a fantastic, hard-working typeface. To pair closely with Clash, we try to steer away from Bold usage and go no heavier than SemiBold. Suisse is used in many instances such as body copy and labels, where headlines are always Clash.

Suisse Int'l is available by default in our Figma organization, it is a paid and licensed font that you can download here.

If you are not a part of Metafy or are working in software that doesn't allow custom fonts, Inter is a download here.

Usage Examples

Colour can be carefully applied to type to enhance a hierarchy or legibility. Keep to predominant use of Warm Gold amidst black and white.

Caps Treatment

Clash Display can be used in caps to mask imagery and motion.
